How it all started
Mocktails and Monologues (M&M) began as a personal quest. As a filmmaker searching for a space to meet fellow actors, actresses, gaffers, PAs, and other creatives, I found myself longing for a networking environment that wasn’t centered around alcohol, hookah, and loud music.
I wanted a space where conversations could flow freely and intentionally, without having to shout over the noise. When I couldn’t find that space, I decided to create it. And that’s how M&M was born—out of a need for a more mindful, creative community.
What started as a filmmaker’s personal networking experiment quickly became a haven for all sorts of creatives—and even those who didn’t necessarily see themselves as artists but had stories to share. Whether it’s poetry, monologues, or simply a chance to speak from the heart, M&M has grown into a safe space where the vibes are high, the mocktails are flowing, and everyone can tune in deeply.
I was initially worried that a no-alcohol environment might not attract the “cool kids,” but it turned out to be the perfect recipe. Now, Mocktails and Monologues is not just an event—it’s a movement. Welcome to the #TuneInMovement.
